Finding Me, Looking For You
Date
2024
Location
Fort Hays State University
The etching with aquatint, Finding Me, Looking for You, from 2024, is a reflective self-portrait. The image, which is originally a photo of my father from the 80’s, is my way of processing his loss, and appreciating the parts of him that I find in myself. Using a la poupee, I used colors that contributed to the reflective, memory-like atmosphere.
